I am Josh Lyon. I am a photographer and a musician. I also work on films when I get a chance. I am driven by a passion to be creative. I once even told myself I wouldn't be happy unless I could be creative for a living. It all started when I was a kid and I found out I could make stop motion videos with my parent's video camera and my Legos. Since then I've been on a non-stop quest to continually challenge myself to make new and exciting things.

I first began playing with photography about five years ago--mostly as a hobby. It soon developed into one of my main artistic outlets. I constantly try to reinvent the way I make photographs because I believe it's too easy to fall into artistic rut of if one is not always trying new things.

Music production was one of those new things that seemingly came out of nowhere for me. I was raised in a household of music, but never really created any until about four years ago. I continually grow in my ability to produce music through daily practice and through working with musicians and actors in the studio. I have also been formally trained at Vanguard University of Southern California through many sound production classes.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Communications with an emphasis in "Cinema and Digital Media Production." I have extensive experience in editing, directing, lighting, cinematography, sound design, and high definition production. I have written and directed multiple films and assisted in countless shoots with friends, classmates, and various clients.

I also have extensive experience in technical and computer related disciplines. You could call me somewhat of a computer nerd, if you call people that sort of thing.

I currently live in Costa Mesa, CA and work as a freelance artist for film and photographic projects.
